Mick Clarke und Killing Floor und SALT
Mick Clarke gründete mit Bill Thorndycraft 1968 die Band
Killing Floor. Zwei hervorragende Alben wurden aufgenommen. Das erste
Album noch bluesig, das zweite schon experimenteller. Im Umfeld von
Killing Floor hielten sich Rod De'Ath und Lou Martin auf, Musiker die
zur späteren Rory Gallagher Band gehörten.
Nach Killing Floor versuchte es Mick Clarke 1974 mit der Band SALT.
SALT waren Mick Clarke (guit.; voc.), Stevie Smith (voc.; harp), Stuart
McDonald (bass) und Arthur (Steve Smith) Wilson (drums). Es gab hier
zwei verschiedene "Steve Smith", ist kein Schreibfehler! SALT brachte es
1978 nur zu einer EP mit vier Songs. Mick Clarke war
außerdem Mitglied der British Blues All Stars, hier gibt es wechselnde
Besetzungen, und ist auf der Knights Of The Blues Table vertreten.
Leider gibt seine Bio nicht viel her, aber es wird daran gearbeitet.
