Mick Abrahams und Jethro Tull

Ian Anderson wurde immer mehr der Chef von Jethro Tull und Tull wurde Mick Abrahams zu kommerziell. Folge: er trennte sich von Tull und gründete Blodwyn Pig.
Der Auftritt bei dem legendären „Isle Of Wight Festival“ 1969 macht die Band berühmt.
Die erste Scheibe „Ahead Rings Out“ verkaufte sich ganz gut. "The Modern Alchemist" wurde in Deutschland ein Hit und Opener einer Musiksendung (keine Ahnung mehr welcher). Die nachfolgende LP „Getting To This“ enttäuschte Abrahams und die Fans.

Pig wurde aufgelöst und die Mick Abrahams Band gegründet.
Nach zwei erfolglosen Alben gab Abrahams seinen Auftritt Rockzirkus vorerst auf und wurde Gitarrenlehrer.
Ab Mitte der 90er Jahre wurde Abrahams und Bloodwyn Pig neu entdeckt. Sein alter Freund und musikalischer „Feind“ Ian Anderson half ihm wieder, bekannter zu werden. Mick Abrahams war und ist einer der ganz großen Gitarristen. Er gehört leider zu denen, denen nie der ganz große Hit gelang, wahrscheinlich deswegen, weil er seiner Musik immer treu geblieben ist.
